The Little Fans' Holiday returns from Tuesday, December 20 to Friday, December 23 with the possibility of registering for the day or for all 4 days (subject to availability).
- December 20 / Snow stone
Every winter during his childhood in the mountains of Gyeongsang in Korea, Lee Ufan waited for the passage of a travelling painter. With him, he learned to draw and paint. Once he became an artist, Lee Ufan practiced painting but also sculpture, fascinated by natural stone. During the "Snow Stone" workshop, participants will be invited to create a snow globe in which the stone will be the main character.
- December 21/ L'Œil à l'envers
To contemplate a work by Lee Ufan is to look at it from all angles and discover new perspectives. We invite participants to make their own kaleidoscope and transform their surroundings into a colorful dream.
- December 22 / Sky Underground
The first work to welcome the public to Lee Ufan Arles is a collaboration between Lee Ufan and the Japanese architect Tadao Ando. This installation in reinforced concrete reveals a poetic and luminous setting that weaves a link between the Arles sky and the Japanese sky. We propose again the workshop, where participants will make a celestial night light inspired by this work entitled Ciel sous Terre.
- December 23 / Chemin vers Arles
On the first floor of Lee Ufan Arles, at the heart of the installation tour, is a work rooted in Lee Ufan's philosophy and his affection for the city of Arles. A mirrored, poetic and uncluttered work, Chemin vers Arles encourages us to contemplate
what surrounds us and to dig into our imagination. During this workshop, participants will be invited to create their own Chemin vers Arles and compose a natural setting whose reflections will be those of their imagination.
Age: 6-12 years
Schedule: 2:00 pm to 4:30 pm
