On July 5 and 6, 2022, Lee Ufan Arles invites the exceptional group composed of Kim Bora, Yoon Dayoung and Kim Sol Daniel, a trio of Korean musicians to come and perform in Arles in the heart of the church of Saint Honorat, which hosts until the end of September the exhibition Requiem by Lee Ufan and at the Espace Croisières.
Kim Bora, a virtuoso of traditional Korean singing, specialises in the folk songs of the Gyeonggi region and jeongga, a genre of poetry appreciated and written by scholars and the aristocracy. She will be accompanied by Yoon Dayoung, on the gayageum, Korean zither, and Kim Sol Daniel on the cello.
Together, they experiment and research with the aim of combining the characteristics of their musical culture. Their ambition is not only to share their music with a wide audience but also to serve as cultural ambassadors representing South Korea's traditional musical culture to the world.
